SUMMER CAMP 2008:

 Calling all trail blazers, horse lovers and rugged adventurers!

This summer, learn ALL ABOUT HORSES and the basics of Natural Horsemanship, horse care and riding skills at El Dustberry Ranch at Camp Josepho in the Pacific Palisades!

We will teach your children how to communicate with horses and ride them in a humane and fun way- round pen work (moving the horse inside a circular corral with one’s body energy), other exercises and games on the ground and on horse back will provide your child with a sound foundation in Natural Horsemanship that includes skills and knowledge that will translate into their everyday lives. We will also explore the beauty of Rustic Canyon on trail rides.

Our rescue horses help teach children about respect and appreciation for nature and for one another in a positive, loving and safe environment. Confidence, self esteem, awareness and leadership skills increase as campers are motivated to set goals and then attain them. An “I can do anything!” attitude prevails as campers are challenged by new experiences. We strive to bring out the best of each child.

We will also offer swimming, unique arts and crafts projects, drama and musical activities daily.

We realize there are many programs to choose from and we have designed ours to be extraordinary and unique. We will customize programs to meet individual’s needs.

$95 per day

Maximum of 12 children per day

Overnights offered!

                 Drop off 3:00 on Tuesday and pick up Wednesday, 3:00 - 4:00

                 $85 fee in addition to daily rate 

Minimum age for overnight camping is 7
