What Our Clients Say:

Dear Robin,

Thank you for a delightful day yesterday!  Boy Scout Troop 108 had a unique and meaningful experience

at El Dustberry, learning about horses and people.  We all appreciated learning about horses, your special

approach to working with horses, and we loved meeting and working with Diego and Mama.  You and your staff

were sensitive and helpful with each of the scouts.  I would highly recommend El Dustberry to other scouts and

other organizations. Thank you for this wonderful program.

Sincerely,

Maureen Sullivan

Dear Robin,

Our trip to El Dustberry was an amazing and overwhelming experience. Our kids marveled over the Chumash Indians' art project, loved your explanation of our human responsibly to preserve nature and the connection to the Jewish holiday of Tu B'shvat.

We also loved the direct interaction our students had with your very kind and special horses. Our kids got a once in a lifetime opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of activities and have a true sense of gratitude for what they have. Our students also left with a renewed sense of their responsibility to practice Tikkun Olam, Repairing the World, as we teach these values at our school.

As the school Rabbi, I am proud that our year-long Tzdakah (charity) collection will be donated directly to your outstanding organization. God bless you and all the employees of El Dustberry for the holy work you do.

B'Shalom,

The experience you provided Matt was just beautiful and he was talking about it all weekend.

I was in treatment for a year, and since I am alone in California, it was extremely difficult. Working with the horses and staff there for that year, quite simply, made all the difference in my recovery. The kind, compassionate staff works well with children and adults, and the horses are also very docile. I think this is a wonderful therapy for those who feel embarrassed about being around people during treatment. When I was very ill, the only people I wanted to see were my doctors. Horses do not judge, and they do not care if you are bald and pale. If I had not had that opportunity, I would have surely slipped into deep depression.

From my first visit, I felt a serenity that I know aided in my recovery from ovarian cancer. The peace I felt at the ranch stayed with me throughout the week

What a beautiful little piece of heaven you have in El Dustberry!

Our weekly trips to the ranch and our relationships with both horses and the people and have become part of our regular routine, an oasis from the medical world of treatments, doctors, tests, and hospitals and cancer. Cancer disrupted our lives in so many ways, and El Dustberry has given us a comforting and safe place to weather the storm and begin to put the pieces back together.
